Sean Arseo leverages the power of data analytics to challenge systemic injustice and promote community empowerment. He currently oversees a portfolio of applied research projects to innovatively support educators as a Research Manager with Pivot Learning.
In 2021, Sean earned his Doctorate in Sociology at the University of California, Davis. His dissertation, "School (Districts) of Democracy: Collective Stakeholder Engagement under California's Local Control Funding Formula," utilized CalPEPAL's early LCAP text to examine how school districts implemented the transformational policy's stakeholder engagement requirements.
Dr. Arseo continues to apply his expertise in family and community engagement, California education policy, and social scientific methods to draw lessons about a range of topics, from how school districts foster professional learning networks to their COVID-19 responses.
