In 2013, California enacted the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), which transformed the way public school districts receive their funding and establish their goals and priorities. Using new methods of computational text analysis to study changes in public school policies, programs, and practices across the state, CalPEPAL researchers are examining the consequences of LCFF for educational excellence and equality in California schools.
